Inventory #2 – Lipsticks

lipsticks Jan2013

Another category in which I don’t have an obscene amount of products!

Sephora + Pantone Universe Tangerine Tango Cream lipstick – I really like this color for summer.  The smell is a bit strong, but I can deal with it.
Verdict: Keep

Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick in Rose Blush – I bought this after reading Karen’s post about it (amazing how much influence beauty bloggers have!).  It’s a nice, safe color, but I honestly don’t find it particularly moisturizing.  I tend to reach for it when I want just  a little something on my lips, though.
Verdict: Keep

Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Plump Perfect lipstick in Perfect Scarlet – I won this one from a huge giveaway on Karen’s blog!  Thanks again, Karen!  I really love this color… but the Topshop one is very similar.  I thought it (Topshop) would be darker when I purchased it, but after I swatched them together, the difference is subtle.  I might give this one to my mom, or sister.
Verdict: Maybe/Give Away

DiorAddict High Shine lipstick in Pink Protege – I really like this one.  It makes me feel fancy (even though I’m not).  I’m almost done with it too, wow!
Verdict: Keep

Kat Von D Painted Love lipstick in Cathedral – I don’t even remember how I got this.  It’s an okay color on me.  Haven’t used it much.
Verdict: Give Away

MAC Venomous Villains lipstick in Dark Deed – Okay, I know I won’t have many opportunities to wear such a dark lipstick, but it’s from the Disney’s Venomous Villains collection!  Lookit the packaging!  Logic tells me I should let it go, but I know I’m going to have a hard time coming to that decision.
Verdict: Maybe

MAC lipstick in Pretty Please – I remember why I bought this.  I really liked the look of pale, nude lips.  However, I just tried this on again, and my lips are just too pigmented and my skin tone too warm to pull it off.  I know I could do the whole concealer thing beforehand to neutralize the color of my lips, but I also know that I’m probably never going to put in that much effort.
Verdict: Give Away

Benefit 24k Sexy Gold lipstick – Another one that I’m on the fence about.  I love the packaging.  I even love the color, and it’s great for layering as well.  But, I don’t use it often.  I think I’ve used it less than 15 times.  Update: I just tried it on, and I’m not sure if I like how big the glitter pieces are.  It looks weird.
Verdict: Maybe/Give Away

Wet n Wild Megalast lip color in Sugar Plum Fairy – I love the color.  Love love love.  This is actually my second tube, because I lost the first one on my recent trip to Europe.  It disappeared while I was in Menorca, Spain.  I was really bummed about it, and Albert asked me if it was expensive.  I said no, and I bought a replacement almost immediately after coming home.
Verdict: Keep

Topshop lipstick in Hazard – How cute is this packaging?  Ugh.  I really love Topshop; I just can’t afford it unless it’s on sale.  Picked this one up in London.  Again, it’s close enough to the Elizabeth Arden one, but the Topshop one is a little bluer.
Verdict: Keep

Elizabeth Arden Anniversary lipstick in Red Door Red – I won this from the same giveaway as the Ceramide lipstick.  I quite like this one; it’s sheer with gold sparkles.  Very festive.  I brought it with me to Europe as well, for the Christmas and New Year’s Eve parties.  The sparkles are tinier and more refined than the Benefit one.
Verdict: Keep

Smashbox Photo Finish lipstick in Flirty – Another pretty color.  I’ll definitely make it a point to use this more often this upcoming summer season.
Verdict: Keep

Urban Decay lipstick in Naked – This is my favorite lipstick, ever.  It’s moisturizing, and the color is totally my-lips-but-better.  I’m almost done with it, and I will absolutely repurchase.
Verdict: Keep

Not pictured: Barry M lip paint in 147 – I’m not sure where this was when I took the picture.  Anyway, it’s drying and the color looks absolutely awful on me.
Verdict: Give Away

Conclusion: Again, not an overwhelming amount of products, which is good.  I did find a few that I will get rid of, though, and that’s even better.
