Swatches: Wet ‘n’ Wild Color Icon eyeshadow singles – Nutty and Kitten

I bought these eyeshadow singles a couple months ago at Don Quijote because they were on sale and therefore really, really cheap.  Honestly, I need another eyeshadow like I need a hole in my head, yet I can’t seem to stop buying more.  Ugh.

Wet ‘n’ Wild – Nutty

I really like the design on the pan.  It’s simple, but enough so that it feels a little more luxe (maybe it’s just me?).

Wet ‘n’ Wild – Kitten

I bought Kitten mainly because it looks like a dupe of NARS Strada, which I don’t own, but Krystal does.  Unfortunately, the Wet ‘n’ Wild version falls short on pigment.

Kitten on the left, Nutty on the right

Nutty, on the other hand… I can’t get over what a pretty brown this is.  And the color payoff is impressive, especially considering the price point.

Anyway, of the two, I really like Nutty.  I’ve used it only a few times since I bought it (but not often, just because… yeah) and it’s one of those “fall in love every time you use it” colors.  It’s a “safe” neutral with decent pigmentation.  Great bang for your buck.  Literally.  It was $1 on sale.  What do you have to lose?

Can someone please explain to me…

… why this is a trend?

Deborah Lippmann’s Happy Birthday

Seriously.  It looks like glitter vomit.  I got this in a set of three (including Bad Romance and Across the Universe), and this is the only one that I’m not in love with.  I’ve been seeing this kind of multi-colored glitter explosion EVERYWHERE, from drugstore to high end brands.

Thoughts?
